ST. IVES Invigorating Apricot Scrub Review

Hello my lovelies!

Today I am going to talk about a product that I have re-discovered recently, I am absolutely in love with the St Ives Apricot Scrub. I tried this product ages ago and I really liked it but it wasn’t mine, for some reason I never remembered to buy it myself. But I’m glad I finally did as this scrub is now my HOLY GRAIL. It leaves my skin so soft and clean and it doesn’t dry it out at all which makes it a super hero scrub considering my skin is a bit on the dry side. I use it 3-4 times a week and sometimes more, it usually depends on whether I am wearing make-up or not, as sometimes I scrub before I put make up on for extra smoothness ;)

This product claims to be:
Oil free.
100% natural exfoliants
100% natural extracts
No parabens, no phthalates and no animal ingredients (which is a plus).

That’s lovely because even though my skin is dry and sensitive it never felt irritated or had any redness after using this product. The main ingredient in this scrub is Apricot which is high in antioxidants and carotenoids (orangey pigments + rich in vitamin A), the second and third ingredients are Corn Kernel Meal and Walnut. Corn Kernel Meal is actually flour ground from dried corn. It’s a soft, but gently powerful all-natural exfoliant that promotes skin cell turnover and regeneration. Cornmeal makes skin softer and I actually tried some DIY masks made out of cornmeal and yogurt and it actually works! it makes my skin baby bum soft. Walnut is known for its hard shell, but when it’s ground, it becomes an amazingly effective all-natural exfoliant that helps newer skin come to the surface.
So you have two types of exfoliants in this scrub which I think is an added benefit. Long story short I do really like this scrub and i will re-purchase.

So there’s my review of the St.Ives invigorating apricot scrub, I hope you guys have enjoyed it J

DIY Eyeshadow Shields

So i like DIY projects so much and i decided to blog about them :)
my first DIY project is how to make your own eyeshadow shields. they are perfect for the extra messy smokey eye day ;)

All you are going to need is:

1. Large cotton pads (i got   mine for 69p in home bargains)
2. Double-sided tape and mine was from wilkinsons for £1.25.
3. Scissors.
And that's all you need and it cost under £2 so its worth a try;).

The French Experience!

After a 5 hr meal finally the party started hurrayyy. I was invited to a dinner party in a town hall in a small village in France, i didn't know what to expect as I'm a big city girl with a big city life style. first i walked in and i was shouted at by my father in law SAY HELLO SAY HELLO, ermm i did i did "confused" . no give the person a kiss, he said. so i did and i didn't know I'm going to have to kiss every single person in the room the minimum of 2 kisses up to 4 kisses each depending on their preference, also didn't know i have to do the same thing again when its announced a new year at 12 am haha.the meal started at 9 with small snacks and finished at 2 am including desserts and cheese. so stuffed now i can hardly move and thinking what a nice meal that was i need my onsie now, when we going home? and at the very same minute the DJ started and everyone was up and down the dance floor like butterflies making me wonder if I'm the only one who had been eating all night? maybe? well it was 5 am and ppl started to clean the tables and brush and i thought to myself bed time finally!!!!!!! but nope it was onion soup timeeee. Oh nooo I'm so stuffed and tired please take me home (to my husband). the Onion soup is an amazing french tradition in weddings and partys and they usually have it really late and after partying for so long they get hungry again( even after 5 hrs of just eating and talking). my overall experience was amazing i had a great night, but with 120 kisses, 240 Bonne Soiree i think I'm maxed out untill next year!

Nail Polish MANIA!

I was looking at the few nail polishes I bought recently, or at least what I thought were few, to find out I‘ve actually purchased 20 new bottles of nail polish in less than 2 months whattttt!!!

well i gave 2 away for xmas haha. I don’t regret it though, as I have this deep love for nail polishes especially if they were a bargain. I was spinning around Liverpool like a mad head shopping for xmas present and I needed a drink, so I headed to pound land to grab one. I couldn’t stop myself from checking their little make up collection and I noticed that they were stocking Sally Hansen’s insta dry nail polish. I’ve heard a lot of beauty gurus rave about them so my eyes popped outta place and I grabbed so quick that I felt embarrassed lol luckily no one noticed. And since that day I started hunting them down one by one in all pound stores across the globe haha. So you would imagine every time I went shopping for Xmas 1st shop I’d check is poundland. In the mean time I came across their complete salon manicure collection, which I saw in Sephora last week whilst I was in Paris retailing for nearly 11 euros. Prefer to the insta dry one just because they r not as shimmery and the colour shades are beautiful; I also found a black sleek nail polish and a Rimmel one.

I also got this Gold crackling top coat from Avon on sale for 3 pounds and it looks awesome over my black nail polish.

But that’s not all J I also got a free Nails Inc. nail polish with Glamour magazine and a free L’Oreal top coat free when I spent 15 pounds on L’Oreal products in Boots.

So enough with the rambling here is a picture of the shades I got and let me know if you like them x.
